Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, ruled by Mars, a planet of passion, energy and action. Natives of this zodiac sign have an enthusiastic and confident personality. This vibe translates into their interiors, where they have little patience for subtlety or very complicated solutions. Instead, they prefer brutalist aesthetic and raw materials like concrete walls. Ultimate Grey, one of Pantone’s colours of 2021, will perfectly fit into their interior style.
Leo (July 23 – August 22)
The Sun, the central planet of our system, strengthens Leo’s ego and personality. So it’s not surprising that the natives of this star sign love attention and a bit of eccentricity. When it comes to current interior trends, bold patterns (maximalist wallpapers and wall murals) will satisfy Leo’s need for theatrical statements.
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)
Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, a planet that is associated with expansion, abundance and good fortune. These individuals are free spirits who love new adventures and have an optimistic outlook on life. In 2021, they will be empowered by bright hues such as Illuminating, a sunny shade of yellow chosen by Pantone as one of the colours of the year.
Earth Signs: Curvy Furniture, Marble, Japandi
Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
Taurus is ruled by Venus, a planet of beauty, sensuality and luxury. Taureans love the comfort of their own house, ideally furnished with shapes and colours that appeal to their senses. So for them it’s all about curvy furniture in 2021. Here, they can opt for curved sofas in soft colours such as cream or choose a Panton chair, a design classic with soft, rounded edges.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
Like Geminis, Virgos are ruled by Mercury, the messenger planet that grants them organised and analytical approach to life. They’re born perfectionists who like pristine and impeccable interiors. Marble is a perfect interior trend for Virgos as it’s elegant, practical and solid enough to last. Moreover, it can blend well with neutral colours and soft minimalism aesthetic that appeals to Virgos.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)
Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, is a planet of structure and responsibility. That’s why many natives of the sign are ambitious and disciplined. The interior trend of 2021 that mirrors these qualities is Japandi, a hybrid of Scandinavian minimalism and Japanese Wabi-Sabi. Caps will feel at ease in Japandi interiors, because they are calm and restained have a strong emphasis on raw materials.
Air Signs: Neon lights, Classical Busts, Retro Futurism
Gemini (May 21- June 20)
Mercury, a planet of intellect and communication, influences Geminis to be very social, have eclectic interests and thrive on change. When choosing their interior style, they appreciate variety and are not afraid of embracing trends that others view as kitschy. Funky neon lights will suit their upbeat personality and can be easily replaced in case a Gemini changes their mind.
Libra (September 23 – October 22)
Venus, the ruling planet of Libra, is associated with art and refinement. So it’s no wonder that Libras strive for balance and harmony in their surroundings. Natives of the sign are also attracted to timeless ideas and classical canons. Plaster busts and the Ancient Rome – inspired statues are their go-to home accessories in 2021.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)
Aquarius is ruled by unpredictable Uranus, a planet of sudden change and progess. So it’s not surprising that Aquarians are nonconformist who seek unconventional ways to manifest their beliefs. In 2021 Aquas will likely embrace Retro Futurism, a trend that is all about escapist set ups, arches and millennial pink. This otherworldly vibe is also inspired by postmodern architecture of the 1980s: La Muralla Roja and the Bubble Palace.

Cancer (June 21- July 22)
The Moon, the ruling planet of Cancer, symbolises feelings, memory and femininity. Natives of the sign are creative and deeply intuitive, but as a water sign they can be also moody and nostalgic for the past. For that reason Cancerians will love the Grand Milllennial Style, which is all about vintage, grandmother’s patterns, family heirlooms and lots of upholstered furniture. A retro style that is very much in tune with Cancer’s love for family and comfort.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)
Scorpio’s secretive and intense vibe comes from Pluto, their ruling planet with dark connotations such as power, death and rebirth. Scorpios won’t feel overwhelmed by darker colours for their walls or furniture. Navy blue is moody, yet at the same time elegant and understated. The natives of the sign will likely embrace it as alternative to a more popular black and grey.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
Pisces are influenced by Neptune, a planet of dreams and illusions. Natives of the last zodiac sign are gentle and compassionate with a strong interest in art and creativity. Line art looks like a perfect interior design trend for Pisces. It’s a bit vague and abstract with sensual shapes and sketches surrounded by white space that will boost Pisces’ imagination.
